Our Schools

GEO Academies is a network of high achieving charter schools.  Our network currently includes K-12 schools, as well as a second chance high school for non-traditional students to earn their high school degree.  Our schools are innovative schools with a strong STEM focus and a focused, dedicated, and data-driven staff. We offer middle college programs at our schools, through which high school students can take college classes, on a real college campus, while the school pays for tuition, books, and transportation. GEO Academies is an excellent place to learn and work. We have high expectations of our students—we expect them to achieve above grade level, and matriculate to college.  Teaching here is a great way to professionally advance your career.  We operate through the TAP framework, ensuring that each teacher is on a career advancement pathway and financially rewarded for their success in the classroom.  Explore our website and learn more about why we are a great place to learn and work!

Gary Middle College

Gary Middle College (GMC) is a tuition-free, public charter school that serves students in grades 9-12. GMC is a different kind of school; we seek to meet the needs of students who have experienced the kinds of challenges in their life that make earning a high school diploma in a traditional setting difficult. At GMC, we provide students, regardless of life circumstances or previous academic struggle, an evening high school program that is rigorous, individualized and supportive. Through our partnership with Ivy Tech Community College GMC students will be able to take dual credit courses with the opportunity to earn college credit; all at no cost to the student. Students who attend GMC will graduate with a Core-40 High School diploma and up to 60 college credits and their associate’s degree.

College is key to success in life: We offer a roadmap to get there.

The best way to create educational opportunities for all children and their families is through the start-up and operation of excellent charter schools. This concept serves as the basis for the GEO Academies.

The education of children is not a cookie-cutter proposition. Each child is different and learns at a different pace and in different ways.

At GEO Academies, we teach Kindergarten through high school and all roads lead to -- and through -- college. Whether in Kindergarten, fifth grade, or high school, our curriculum is designed with that goal in mind. We arm our students with the skills and tools they’ll need to not only receive a high school diploma, but also to excel at the collegiate level.

To get there, GEO Academies use successful teaching methods and technology in an updated one-room schoolhouse environment. This promotes learning tailored to each individual student. Using this approach, our students advance academically, socially, and personally, sometimes at a surprising pace.

Each student is an adult in training and when our teachers, staff and parents cooperate, great things happen. Our students develop exceptional character, leadership and skills they’ll have for the rest of their life.

Together, let’s find the right educational fit for your child and guide them toward success.

Our mission statement for our schools is simple: “GEO Academies will make no excuses for their student population and will dedicate themselves to ensure that all students show growth in character, academics, life skills, the arts, and wellness using teaching skills tailored to meet the needs of each student.”
